self reflection

My experience with this module made me realise the importance of preserving traditional architecture in the urban landscape. Through these projects, I was able to learn that architecture is a cornerstone of cultural identity, especially within the unique cuture of Malaysia. The shophouse is considered to be an icon of Malaysian architecture and due to rapid development, the shophouse and other traditional elements are affected which leads to the removal of place identity to the local area. Through Project 2, my group and I indicated the issues and factors and proposed solutions to mantain the place identity.
